Artist bio:

Agung Nugroho Widhi
(born in Yogyakarta, 1981)

Agung is a photographer based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. He studied photography at Institut Seni Indonesia (Indonesia Institute of the Arts), Yogyakarta, and affiliates with MES 56; an artist collective as well artist initiative space, where he involved in several exhibitions, or art projects. Be sides doing his own personal works, he also manages Video Battle (short video compilation) with Wimo Ambala Bayang and Wok The Rock.

His works has been exhibited in several international exhibitions, festival, and forum including Asia-Europe Emerging Photographers Forum at National Gallery and Annexe Gallery, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2009), Daegu Photo Biennale 2010 (South Korea), FotoGrafia Festival Internazionale di Roma, Italy.

Akiq AW
(born in Kediri, 1976)

Akiq is currently one of the board members of Ruang MES 56, a non-profit institution as well artist initiative space that concerns on the development of photography medium, both conceptually and contextually based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. He got his bachelor degree from Communication Science Department at Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta and has involved in several projects, exhibitions,and mostly coordinated workshops or programs conducted by Ruang MES 56.

In the last few years, he's worked with many social organizations or international NGOs such as Care International, Plan International, International Federation of Red Cross and Crescent (IFRC) as a photo editor for their projects and publications. He held his first solo exhibition "The Order of Things" last year at Ruang MES 56, Yogyakarta..
