Wall Street Arts exhibition @ Galeri Salihara, Jakarta


Lots of stuff happening in Jakarta this summer. Just as this summers designer market Brightspot finishes, we will see the opening of Wall Street Arts, a graffiti art exhibition in Jakarta curated by Alia Swastika opening on July 13. The exhibition will showcase various mediums of graffiti art by both local and French artists.

The list includes Darbotz, Tutu, Popo, Wormo, Kims, Nsane5 and Bujangan UrbanSonic, Colorz, Gilbert, Kongo, Lazoo and Ceet as French representatives. Indonesian contemporary artists Farhan Siki and Soni Irawan will also be taking part in the event as guest artist. from Jakarta; and

The exhibition will also see the launch of the ‘Graffiti in Asia’ book as well as a discussion with Wendi Putranto of Rolling Stone Magazine regarding the topic ‘Graffiti as a part of Subculture Movement’.

The Wall Street Arts exhibition will run from July 10th till August 2nd at Galeri Salihara, Jalan Salihara 16, Pejaten, Pasar Minggu Jakarta Selatan.

The ‘Graffiti as a part of Subculture Movement’ discussion and the launching of ‘Graffiti in Asia’ will start at 4pm on July 13th.
